P3, an Ireland-based software provider, has introduced its self check-in/out kiosk that allows guests who have checked in online to collect their room key in the lobby rather than joining a queue at the front desk, according to a press release. A guest can collect their own room keys in less than a minute at the self-serve kiosk before heading straight for their room.
The P3 solution finds a suitable room for each booking and sends an email to the guest notifying them that their room is ready.
Prior to arrival, guests click on a button in their online check-in email and are directed to a check-in page on the hotel website where they can select their estimated time of arrival. It is not necessary to download an app.
Upon arrival at the hotel, the guest can go straight to the kiosk and collect their keys using the four-digit code provided in the email — cutting as many room keys as they need.
The solution integrates with Oracle Hospitality Opera property management systems, has been integrated into kiosks at properties in the U.K. and Ireland and is expanding to additional markets.
